Disneyland Paris…

15 Aug

So I recently looked a bit more at Disneyland Paris as we will be visiting later this year!

It’s our first overseas adventure!  I am nervous about the long flight, but once I be there I know it will be fun!  When planning the trip, we were debating where we all wanted to go, but http://us.offers.disneylandparis.com/special-offers/an-extra-day-night-free.xhtml was always a yes!  Disneyland Paris has two parks – Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park.  It also has hotels and a shopping village.  Here are ten things I am excited for to see or experience (although I am excited for it all)…

  1. Mike fink keel Boats – This is a bit of history I am hopeful it may be open. They are only open seasonally, but we will be there if its open!

  2. Space Mountain:Mission 2 – It goes upside down, outside and sounds amazing!  Having spent a lot of time in the WDW Starport, I am excited to try this one!

  3. Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant (Sleeping Beauty’s Castle) – According to Wikipedia it describes it as: “The Castle features two parts, a dungeon type area in the base featuring an Audio-Animatronic dragon, and above, a concrete balcony walkthrough area with Sleeping Beauty stained glass windows and tapestries. There are also several shops selling glass figures, ornaments and gifts.”  We will definitely be getting a dip kiss photo to add to our collection from our previous California and Wedding photos at WDW.  There is a dragon under it, and a new castle, I am looking forward to it!
  4. Peter Pan’s flight – Yes, call me a nerd, I love Peter Pan!!! This one is 30 seconds longer than the one at Disneyland! I don’t care, I love me some Peter Pan!
  5. Big Thunder Mountain and Phantom Manor – These two are listed together as they have a back story that intertwine – “the town of Thunder Mesa, founded by Henry Ravenswood to support the mining in the mountain. This backstory influences not just Big Thunder Mountain but also Frontierland’s other major attraction, Phantom Manor, Disneyland Paris’s equivalent of the Haunted Mansion.”
  6. Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril – One of my favorites at Disneyland Resort in California, I am excited to see the sister ride which is a coaster.

  7. Stitch live! – Yes, it’s a Turtle talk with crush type attraction, but I will be happy to see an amusing Stitch ride as I’ve heard it is one!  Yes it maybe weird, but it’s only in Paris and Hong Kong. Since that trip is a few years off, I am excited!
  8. Crush’s Coaster – It’s unique to the park, a dark ride, and a coaster.  Since my husband likes Coasters, I can’t wait to experience this with him!  He can add it to his list!

  9. RC Racer – This one kinda scares me, but I will probably go once.  I am very amused by the whole Toy Store theme of part of the Studios in Paris.  I imagine it will be like Bug’s land in Cali!
  10. Studio Tram Tour: Behind the Magic – I am so excited about this as I think it’s going to be hilarious.  The backlot tour in Studios at WDW has changed a lot and I am curious to see what variation they have!  No matter what, I will see Catastrophe Canyon!

Try to sleep going to Europe, but coming back you can stay awake. You’ll love Crushes Coaster, but be prepared for a long wait. There are no fast passes in the Pixar area. If you have seen the pirate themed boats in other amusement rides that swing far up and then down, then you’ll get the idea of RC Racer. The carousel has beautiful horses, and the castle, with the dragon and stain glass is beautiful.

I have seen lots of friend pictures of SB castle over there and it looks beyond gorgeous!! I can’t believe they have Mike Fink boats over there. So random. Didn’t think anyone really knew much about Davy Crockett beyond the hats they sell. That looks really cool though. I hope they’re open. I’m excited for your trip because I know your going to come back with tons of pics so I could “travel” vicariously with you. 😀

Yes we will! I am excited to see it all. We will be posting a few photos and pictures while we are there too, as we are switching our data plan over, but we will come back with tons to post I’m sure! 🙂
